This handbook contains everything you need to know to build rich internet applications using formsPlayer and XForms. Since XForms is a W3C standard then nearly all of the ideas and code samples in this handbook can be used with other XForms processors.

  • Setting Up Your Development Environment
  • Introduction to XForms
  • Action handlers
  • Controlling performance of switch and case.
  • Manipulating data with handlers and script
  • Sending and receiving data with submission
  • Using XPath expressions
  • Conditional action handlers
  • Styling
  • Understanding the XForms dependency-engine
  • Using Selenium to test XForms and formsPlayer
  • Using formsPlayer to extend the browser
  • Creating and using custom controls
  • APPENDIX: Default CSS styles for XForms
  • APPENDIX: The Soft-bar Installer API
