Hi I'm having real problems making Formsplayer install.
It *has* been working for about 12 months then I updated it this afternoon to v 1.4.3.1033 from the install cab in http://www.formsplayer.com/content/samples-list-install.html
This didn't work.
Checked I had the 2 ocx files; did a binary compare; deregistered them reregistered them
No use
Attemped to remove references to formsplayer and x-port.net from the registry.
Can't remove several entries:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\formsplayer.TempDocImpl\CurVer
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\formsplayer.TempDocImpl\CurVer
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\formsplayer.TempDocImpl.1\CLSID
Removed as many as possible. Rebooted and attempted installing 1.5.0.1015 from http://skimstone.x-port.net/files/releases/formsplayer-1.5.0.1015.html
Still won't install.

Did you try removing
Did you try removing formsPlayer via Add/Remove programs then trying to install from the download page at http://www.formsplayer.com/download/?
It would be good also to know what version you were trying to upgrade from originally.

When it "all went wrong" I discovered that I actually already had 2 versions installed; v1.3 & v1.4. Interestingly they had been working fine together.
I've since removed formsplayer via the "add programs" route and also scoured the registry and removed all traces apart from the keys mentioned previously that can't be deleted.
