Microsoft Security Update KB912812

Some users have reported performance problems on Windows XP Service Pack 2, following the (automatic or manual) installation of Microsoft Security Update KB912812 (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/912812).

The update causes forms to load very slowly.

Microsoft has released a Compatability Patch, KB917425 (http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=917425), which resolves this issue.
