Caret left floating when input disappears

If an input is within a case, and that input is active when the case is deselected, The caret will be left flashing in situ, with no input in which it might reside.

The attached file contains such a construct. A toggle is invoked on focus in of the input control. The case to which it toggles is empty. Upon giving focus to the input, it disappears, leaving its caret behind.
